Hi there! We are your Yoga Post founders.; Amy Wolff, Lacey Shelton, Kathleen Barnette and Bob Conover. With over 50 years of teaching yoga between the four of us, our underlying passion for yoga and movement is what inspires us on our mat daily. We desire to host a home for our community to come together and find movement and mindfulness. We empower our team of teachers to embrace yoga both on and off their mat, and celebrate all different types of teaching methods. Read more about us and see you in our yoga home soon.
Amy’s classes are grounded in stability and infused with the trifecta of creativity, fun and challege. With over 30 years of experience, she invites curiosity on the mat while integrating functional movement and creative sequencing with purpose. She’s a gifted body reader who specializes in therapeutic yoga to guide people through healing their everyday aches and pains, as well as more advanced body ailments such as injuries or chronic illness and pain. Amy is currently studying to attain a master’s degree in Acupuncture, and Integrative Medicine at AIMC Berkeley and is a huge believer in the mind-body connection. She guides people to use yoga as medicine in order to ground into stability within their mind, body and spirit.
With over 12+ years of traveling the world and teaching yoga to a variety of humans, Lacey is glad to have found her forever home in the community of Petaluma. Her classes are alive with contagious energy, vibrant positivity and a fair amount of "dad jokes". Being trained in vinyasa, hot power fusion, sculpt, SUP yoga, kids yoga, Spin and personal training, her varietal background provides classes that support all bodies and abilities. Lacey is also the founder of Petaluma Park Yoga, and you will frequently find her and her family emerging themselves in the great outdoors. When she's not on her yoga mat, she will be camping and hiking with her husband, twin sons, daughter and 2 pups.
“The world needs our JOY not our sorrow”
Kathleen believes that love is the alchemy of transformation, she teaches yoga with the intention that students leave feeling better than when they first entered the class. Her belief is that through the experience of movement of the physical body combined with the connection of the emotional and spiritual body through breath, mantra, and meditation, it is possible for us to develop a deep awareness of ourselves and transform our lives. She loves sharing wellness tips and passionately teaching and singing Sanskrit mantras so students can apply what they learn on and off the mat. She strongly believes everything we experience in life contributes to our awareness and becomes part of the yoga practice. A beautiful journey of introspection and heart opening awakening.
Whether it is body and breath linked-vinyasa flow or long held yin poses, Bob believes that yoga is not so much about getting our bodies into poses, as it is about using poses to get into our bodies. All of which moves us toward oneness within ourselves and the universe. Bob’s classes are often filled with subtle humor. How could what adults do in a yoga class not be just a little bit funny? Bob’s yoga training is in integrative yoga, vinyasa, yin, and SATYA (Sensory Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement). Bob also holds a Ph.D. in theology and his interests include the deep harmonies of the world’s spiritual traditions.
